Design notes:
A vertical canvas composition features a stem of a poinsettia flower as the focal point. Large, velvety bracts in deep crimson and scarlet form layered, star-shaped blooms at the center, their edges subtly variegated with hints of burgundy and soft pink. Small, pale yellow cyathia sit at the heart of each bloom, providing a gentle focal contrast. Leaves are rendered in rich emerald and forest greens, some with pronounced veins and serrated edges, others more loosely suggested.
The abstract background balances cool and warm tones to set off the poinsettias. Broad, gestural strokes of pattern provide depth and creates visual movement without competing with the flowers.
